The Backstory
i3 (formerly Immersive & Interactive Installations) was our pitch project for the Spring 2010 semester at the ETC.
Our goals were to:
- • Build/run/strike a themed attraction for CMU's Spring Carnival.
- • Develop and test two new hardware platforms for the ETC.
- • Develop and test two new hardware platforms for the ETC.
- • a 6'x6' motion floor & a custom built 4'x8' multi-touch floor.
- • Create an installation for Attack Theatre's Dirty Ball fundraiser.
- • Promote the ETC.
- • Promote the ETC.
For Spring Carnival we developed a story around a made-up client, ImininTechnologies. This was to have an antagonist in our experience without making our real sponsor, the Entertainment Technology Center, the villian.
